Productivity

In this era, everyone is fighting a battle to be at the top whatever one is doing. Just completing the tasks before the deadlines will not let you to the top. The competition has increased and so is the number of competitors. People are supposed to give their best in everything. Quality and Quantity both matter in this ruthless world.

Don’t go with the herd

Everyone wants to succeed but not everyone succeeds. There are many reasons why people don’t achieve the result of what they wish for. We are required to match the world’s pace. We often indulge ourselves in the tasks in which we were never interested and this thing directly affects our productivity.

However, we complete those tasks because of the work pressure and deadlines but the quality somewhere is affected. Before engaging ourselves in any task we must create our interest in those tasks. Another reason where our productivity is affected is we delay our task for tomorrow or wait for the deadlines. So in order to increase productivity let go of your habit of procrastination.

Give yourself a present

Also, avoid working for long hours without breaks. We should complete our tasks in shifts. We should avoid doing work continuously we should divide them into parts and then work with small intervals in between. Relaxing our mind and body is very important, often in order to work more and more, we give stress to our bodies. We should learn to enjoy our work. We should introspect ourselves how can we make our working hours an interesting session.
Photo by Carl Heyerdahl on Unsplash

One can adopt options like playing music along with work if possible, having coffee or tea to energize themselves, taking 2 minutes of break to relax your body, or do anything that relaxes you. But we should take breaks only on decided times people often start taking breaks frequently, they get distracted by their phone calls or messages, or the surrounding creates a distraction for them, they should try to overcome such distractions in order to increase their productivity.

Sustainable Shopping

Have you ever heard of sustainable fashion? It’s a hot topic that becoming more and more popular nowadays, thanks to the pollution problems that the fashion industry is creating.

Sustainable Fashion

Over the past few decades, consumers are buying and discarding considerably more outfits. Between 2000 and 2014, clothing production round the world doubled, with shoppers purchasing approx. 60 percent more garments.

The apparel industry is liable for 10 percent of the total carbon emissions and 20 percent of its wastewater production which is the second-largest polluter of water. And in the end, only a few of these clothes are recycled, most of them end up in landfills. The important thing is that we should take small steps.

There’s plenty to cover when it comes to sustainable living, so just by taking a small step will make a difference in the long run. You would possibly be thinking, how do I start doing this? Well here’s just a very broad view of the small step which you can take and start a sustainable capsule wardrobe.

Sustainable wardrobe

What is a Capsule Wardrobe? A capsule wardrobe is a small collection of items that never go out of fashion. If you begin shopping with a capsule wardrobe frame of mind, you will always be on the right path in starting a sustainable wardrobe. Here, I am providing some of the things you can do to lessen your effect on the environment when it comes to clothing:

Buy Natural Fibre – Being Sustainable

The most harmful fabrics within the apparel industry are made up of synthetic materials (polyester, nylon, acrylic, etc.) and use/release thousands of toxic chemicals during production. Synthetic textiles are oil-based products and are basically a derivative of plastic, meaning they’re not going to biodegrade. Always buy clothing made up of natural fibers (like wool, cotton, linen, silk, hemp, etc.) and not synthetic fibers.

Quality over Quantity

Giving preference to quality over quantity will help your items last longer so, choose items wisely and invest in quality. Thus quality material sustains for a long time thereby indirectly helping in Sustainable development.

It is estimated that only 15% of unwanted clothes are recycled and approx. 10 million tons of cloth ends up in the landfill every year. Now a day’s people think that material things are a souvenir to prove certain status in your life. Delete that from your mind. If you had some dress in your closet for more than one year and you never used it, give it to somebody else who needs it

Avoid Trends, Buy Classic

The most sustainable thing you can do, when it comes to clothing is to buy an item and wear it frequently for as long as possible. Buying new styles is the worst thing you can do. Think about it like this, to make a new garment, a farmer needs to plant cotton seeds. To control pests he will apply pesticides and finally harvest it with large equipment, then ship the material to a processing plant.

The processing plant then uses a full lot of water, chemicals, and huge machinery to treat the material and get them ready for weaving. This treated material is then shipped to a textile mill where it will be treated with chemicals to turn it into a textile. The textile is then shipped all over again to a sewing plant, which then uses more water, oil, and huge machinery to turn the textile into a garment.

Second hand clothes

Photo by Erik Mclean on Unsplash

This garment is then hung in stores that flash neon signs so as to draw your attention and convince you to buy that product. You buy it and wear it 1-2 times before the trend is announced as “over”. Then that garment is considered as garbage and all energy and resources that went into its creation are wasted. This is happening each second, of each minute, of each day.

Buying Second Hand Buying

Second-hand outfits are the best way to shop sustainably. It slows down the production of new clothing and releasing of waste and toxic chemicals as well as keeps clothing out of landfills. 6. Size and Alterations One of the biggest reasons behind discarding outfits is its fitting.

Never buy the outfits of the wrong size, even if it’s on a huge discount. You will never wear it. Also, having a basic knowledge of tailoring will help you altering your clothing to fit properly rather than throwing it up. I hope the above-mentioned points had inspired you and removed a few stereotypes about what being sustainable means. If you had read the entire article, you’re already a much better person than the typical online shopper.

It is at that time of year again when many of us realize that our jeans are too tight and that they are going for New Years' resolutions to lose fat, and we prepare to put on their skinny jeans. We have these tips to help you get in shape faster
Include protein at every meal
Having protein will help keep you satisfied, and therefore will help resist the temptation to snack too much between meals. Protein also helps boost your metabolism, as it requires more calories to metabolize compared to fats and carbohydrates. Some high-quality protein sources include daal, beans, chicken breast, fish, hanging curd.
Avoid drinks with calories
Drinking your calories, sugary drinks, juices, or alcohol, is an easy way to alter your diet. Water also helps keep you full. If plain water seems boring, season with lemon, mint, or fruit or vegetable slices for a fun touch.
Just write it down
Writing down your food and drink intake is important to be successful in losing weight, as it makes you responsible. Our customers often share with us that their eating habits get worse when they stop recording their food intake.
Do not eat after dinner
Nighttime snacks are a problem for many people, especially when they stay up late into the night, watch TV without thinking, or surf the Internet. Eating snacks after dinner makes your body busy digesting your snack while you sleep instead of burning your body fat. Therefore, stop eating after dinner. This is the key to losing weight quickly.
Eat three feeds a day, not five or six little things
There's also a misconception about losing weight about grazing all day, except while sleeping. Switching to three meals a day also helps mentally focus on eating a good source of protein and a whole grain along with fruits and vegetables at mealtime. Eat a satisfying balanced meal. Waiting for your next half also causes your body to run a calorie deficit that will then begin to lose body fat.
High-intensity interval training and strength training
Most people stick to the same routine/plan in the gym without getting the results they want. For the change you want, you should try high-intensity interval training, which is a great way to help you lose fat. Often times people are so focused on their cardio and often forget about weight training, which is a very important part of the exercise routine. Strength training defines muscles and also increases your metabolism.

Life after COVID-19 will not be easy

There is no clarity on how fragile supply chains will be maintained, restored, and repaired in the absence of those who cut wood and bring water to make the city vibrate.
Stores and offices will slowly limp as they put on a brave front and spend all their energy to make sure they survive somehow. The government has not yet shared a plan for the revival and recovery of the affected economy. The reassuring noises have failed to comfort the most afflicted segment of the population: daily wage earners and employees in the unorganized sector, landless farmers and millions of migrants who became refugees, helpless and "stateless" overnight.

Will they return? Or will hunger and excruciating discrimination lead the stigmatized poor to a life of slavery in overcrowded cities? How will "social distancing" unravel once a school, college, university, office and factory is restarted, not with 50 percent staff but at full steam? Transportation will continue to be a major challenge. But, logically, all those people should be quarantined. Neither the central government nor the state governments can be criticized for this. Aside from minor and major technical issues, they have done their best in exceptional circumstances.

COVID-19: Daily wage workers in Puducherry hit due to lockdown ...

The shameful sympathy of the top bureaucrats who are on the brink of servility is shameful. There is no squeal of disagreement or point to a lapse that could result in correction mid-course.  Enjoying the reflected glory of the Prime Minister's radiant charisma, his cabinet colleagues are content with appearances most of the time.
The biggest disappointment has been the judiciary. To be precise, the Supreme Court.  Today, it is more likely to speak of the bank's masterly inactivity. Only in the rarest cases, their lordships are put into action. Those who are not well versed in the constantly evolving forms of contingent jurisprudence are baffled by some recent apex court decisions.

The FIRs against Republic TV's Arnab Goswami has blinked away and he and the state governments were given enough time to respond to court notices, as the honorable judges felt they were 'not inclined to interfere with the media's right to freedom of expression.

Without prejudging this particular case, one can point out that the courts seem to treat different people differently. Those favored by the rulers seem to enjoy greater freedoms. Others are slapped with non-redeemable offenses for unzipping their lips.  Many feel that the courts have abdicated their responsibility by admitting that at times like this it is better not to interfere with what the government is doing.

It is imperative that the nation unites in the war against this deadly virus. But this certainly does not mean that we should blindly follow the leader like a flock of sheep. Nor can Indians allow themselves to be subjected to submission before superstitious religious fanaticism. Thank goodness, the lynching mobs have not been rampant lately, but volunteers from social organizations / NGOs have been active and visible in many places "helping" the authorities to effectively enforce the blockade.

Once the blockade is lifted and we begin to collect fragments of our fragmented lives, we will be forced to ask these and other awkward questions.

But why? And should you try it if you’re already happy with your current workout routine? Here are six reasons why you need to lift heavier weights.

1. Burns Body Fat:  A study from the University of Alabama showed that dieters who lifted heavy weights lost the same amount of weight as dieters, but all the weight lost by the weight lifters was primarily fat while the cardio lovers lost a lot of muscle along with some fat.
2. More Defined Muscles: If you love the lean, defined muscles on super-fit ladies, you should lift heavier since you cannot get bigger muscles because of low testosterone levels. So, lifting heavier has the potential to make women more defined.

3. Fights Osteoporosis: A research has shown that lifting heavy weights over time not only maintains bone mass but can even build new bone, especially in the cases of post-menopausal women.
4. Burns More Calories: One may burn more calories during a 1-hour cardio session than you would burn while lifting weights for an hour, but a study found that women who did weight training burned an average of 100 more calories during the 24 hours after their training session ended.
5. Increases Strength Faster:  Lifting lighter weights with more repetitions is good for building muscle endurance, but if you want to increase your strength, using higher weights is the key.
6. Drops Belly Fat: The fact is that you can’t spot reduce—your body, you are born with genetically decided places it wants to store fat. A University of Alabama study found that the women who lifted weights lost more deep belly fat than those who just did cardio.

In addition to avoiding your alarm clock, you should make water a priority every morning. While important and no secret, drinking water first thing in the morning can significantly affect your day, for the better! Whether you're looking to lose weight or just stay healthy, these are the exact reasons why water is crucial to your morning routine!

Hydrate your body

After a long night of rest, your body is thirsty for water and it is common to wake up dehydrated. Hydration first thing in the morning is important because it increases the rate at which new muscles and blood cells are produced. A hydrated body provides a good stream of oxygen, enabling you to stay sharp and strengthened.

Detoxifies the body

Water, especially lemon water, is a natural detox. Drinking water removes toxins and impurities. This not only keeps you healthy but also leads to clear skin. Water also purifies the colon, allowing adequate absorption of nutrients. While a simple glass of water is great, adding lemon increases the rate of urination in the body, maximizes enzyme function, and stimulates the liver for detoxification.

It helps in weight loss

Water is a wake-up call to your digestive system! Drinking water on an empty stomach in the morning increases your metabolism throughout the day. In fact, research shows that an increase in water consumption leads to an increase in the rate at which people burn calories instead of storing them as fats. Chances are that starting your day with a glass of healthy water instead of sugary tea or coffee will help you make smarter decisions for the rest of the day.

Prevents disease

If you get sick often, it could be that you are not drinking enough water. Water performs a significant role in sustaining a healthy lymphatic scheme. When this system is balanced, your body can properly fight infection. Studies have also shown that dehydration leads to higher cortisol levels and, in turn, stress and illness.

The city ...

You've heard of attractive beaches and wild nightlife, but you won't have heard that Goa is simply a celebration. The state city, Panjim, resembles Lisbon in many ways: the tiles, the spicy sausage, and therefore the sparkling buildings in the colonial neighborhood of Fontainhas. But don't worry, it's still in India and there are still plenty of cows halfway there.

Located on the west coast, Goa is the smallest state in India and in contrast to the other, known for its white sand beaches, stellar nightlife, eclectic seafood, architecture listed as world heritage. Spread over just 3,702 km, Goa is located within the Konkan region. It's a far cry from the hippie haven or a beach getaway, and one of the few destinations that are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The tranquility (susegad) of Goa attracts so many international tourists because it attracts Indians, or perhaps more.

How to get to Goa
Goa is well accessible by road, rail and air from most of India and international destinations. It is served by Dabolim Airport (the only airport in Goa) that is connected by regular domestic flights. Since Goa is on the Konkan railway line, there are frequent trains from Mangalore and Mumbai. Except for this, many long-distance interstate buses travel to and from Goa.

The closest main entry point to Goa from different parts of the planet is the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai. Mumbai, being the key city, is well accessible to Goa via flights, railways and roads.

The best time to go to Goa ...

Goa is preferable during the dry season, around the end of November to mid-March. During the other period of the year, it is not very pleasant. During the high season, from mid-December to early January, the weather is ideal, with temperatures rarely exceeding 32 ° C. However, finding an area or house to rent at that time, particularly during Christmas and Twelve months when rates double or triple - it can be a real hassle.

Goa party scene ...

Many people visit Goa with the expectation of being able to party on the beach every night and are distressed when most of the places to jump prove to be conventional clubs that they probably wouldn't look twice at home. The reality is that the elbow-to-air beach party of yesteryear, when tens of thousands of people were trying space in huge techno sound systems under neon-painted palm trees, is, by now, almost a thing of the past in Goa.

Goa's seaside spots experienced their first big parties during the 1960s with the influx of hippies to Calangute and Baga. Initially, villagers paid little attention to those bizarre gatherings, but with each season the scene became better established, and by the late 1970s, the Christmas and New Year parties, specifically, had grown into major events, drawing travelers from all parts of the country.

People and places ...

The Goans are very tourist friendly and celebrate many festivals throughout the year, the most famous being the Twelve Month Carnival and Goa. While the seafood is excellent, Goa has one of the most effective nightclubs in India with trendy bars, beach cabanas, chic cafes, and many clubs and discos. Due to lower alcohol prices within the state, Goa is also ideal for younger tourists with relatively tighter pockets.

For those people perpetually confused between North Goa and South Goa, this might help: the state of Goa is divided into North Goa and South Goa. While North Goa is the hub of nightlife where all the tourist beaches, flea markets, and beach huts are located, South Goa is the land of luxurious resorts and relaxed beach vibes.

Panjim, the capital, dominates the calm Mandovi River, where world-famous floating casinos operate. The center is well connected to a world airport and the roads and trains run from north to south as part of Goa.

With a coastal strip that stretches for about 100 kilometers, the city is not without beaches. Where Baga and Calangute meet the Indian crowd, Anjuna and Arambol are loved by foreign tourists. The southern beaches of Goa are not really that explored, but few of them like Agonda and Palolem would really surprise us.

You might think that the above image is irrelevant and it is of some other car.. It might be surprising to Car enthusiasts but this is the image of the Tesla Roadster released back in 2008.

According to various articles, the Roadster can travel 393 kilometers (244 mi) on a single charge of its lithium-ion battery pack, and can accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in 3.7 or 3.9 seconds depending on the model. It has a top speed of 201 km/h (125 mph).

It was released as an indigenous Luxury race car with Elon Musk as the Chief Engineer at Tesla. The car was really well marketed and even got a ride to space from the much successful Falcon x Space shuttle.

Despite all this support, The 2008 Roadster was a disaster in terms of sales and customer satisfaction. Nearly just above 2000 units were totally sold of this car model.

Even Musk accepts this fact by using phrases such as "was completely unsafe," it "broke down all the time," and it "didn't really work."

But Tesla didn’t give up on its Roadster dream…

The 2020 version of the Roadster was shown in a surprise moment at the end of the Tesla Semi event on November 16, 2017—during which a Roadster was driven out of the back of one of the semi-truck trailers to the song "Sabotage".

This newer version of the roadster looks absolutely phenomenal and Musk bet’s that this would be the fastest production car ever produced..

It is expected to release in late 2020..but as the economic situation of all countries looks little grim at present , the release might get delayed further.

Some fascinating specifications of the model are:

0-60mph : 1.9s
1-100mph :4.2s
Max speed: 250mph+
Wheel torque :10000 Nm
EPA range : 620 miles (1000 kms)
Base price: $2,00,000

As a Tesla fan , the comeback of Tesla Roadster 2020 would be a great event..

For teens, this practice will help them open up to others and become aware of their desires regarding devices, clothing, and overall appearance, as yoga teaches them that the ego should be left out of their life. Fostering cooperation and compassion, rather than competition, is a great gift for our teens. Yoga can plant the seed of wisdom before adulthood and help them determine their true worth and self-esteem.

For children, yoga can help counter the fast-paced world load of busy parents, school pressures, relentless lessons, video games, shopping malls, and competitive sports. When kids learn techniques for relaxation and personal fulfillment, they can operate life's difficulties a light more easily. Yoga at a young age fosters self-esteem and body awareness among physical action that is not competing.
